FIRST BLOG POST!!! (You'll think it's about HAIR)

Hello! This is my first official blog post!! YAYY. Okay now that that's out of the way, I wanna talk about my hair. Growing up, my mother always combed my hair in the mornings for school and at a certain point she got tired of my curls and put a permanent relaxer in around the age of 9. I allowed this to continue until I finally had enough and wanted to embrace my natural hair. At age 20, nearly a decade of chemically damaging my hair to make it more 'manageable' I made the choice to go natural. It was one of those cathartic chops too. I was ending a toxic relationship, I was deciding to move to Riverside, CA all the way from Chico, CA, and I was on the cusp of being legally able to drink!!! Obviously, lots going on, it was just time to finally woman up and take full control of the life I wanted for myself which included embracing my natural look. I never think to look back and it has been the greatest decision I've made it my adult life. In essence, it's been the source of my confidence to make change. Since that day, I am forever proud of all the women before me that showed me it's okay to just be me and that our greatest challenge is to be our truly authentic selves. So, I leave you with this, everyday set out to be as organically and positively YOU as possible! OX
