New Year, New Post, Who Dis???

Well, here we are. Clean off another hiatus...forced hiatus. I feel like people miss my writings when I'm gone (my mom at least, hi mom) and I will try to be more consistent!!! Life gets in the way and we make excuses as to why we neglect the things we love the most but I digress. I really do enjoy writing and sharing my perspective on things people are aware of and just don't articulate or maybe we all think since we're all thinking it, there's nothing to be said. We all need a little affirmation and solidarity every so often so here it goes.

Life is hard and we should all get an award for just being here. Yeah, I said it, all of us. Even if it's not the proudest, everybody has a story. When we are constantly criticizing and scrutinizing events of our lives and circumstances of the people around us we lose sight of how we can move forward and make things more ideal from a broader perspective. It's better to calmly evaluate our progress and comfort in life based on what we've been through and overcome so we can focus on that premium life without comparing ourselves to others. Mostly everything we've been through has brought us closer to a certain idea of stability and success we want in our lives. Lessons are the main thing we gain while striving for the greatest of pursuits we desire. It's never shameful to look at how far we've come and look back at all the shit we leave in our tracks. Of course there's some shit that gets stuck our boots but that's where learning from our mistakes come in so wipe that shit off and keep it movin'. Take a break to analyze with a clear mind so real steps can be taken towards real fulfillment. Like they say, practice makes perfect and if we keep owning our failures and taking pride in the journey we'll eventually come to a place where success becomes inevitable. So, I leave you with this, as hard as it is, maybe one day we can all quit judging ourselves and others before we attempt to see the most of each individuals purpose in this life. XO
